The crew of the USS Internet was delayed in delivering this latest podcast to the Federation colonies and the fault lies at the feet of the captain! Yes, I've been forced to undergo a career change that called for four intensive weeks of training and field work, which took up much of my time. But I'm back in the center chair, delivering this program which was recorded nearly a month ago and it is one of our best! We're visited by special guests Dan Deevey of GaaaysInSpaaace and Ben Ragunton of Two Gay Geeks, along with Red Shirts alum Davette See to discuss The Outcast, another TNG episode that doesn't really go all the way (see our review of The Host)! The message in this episode is about as subtle as a hammer on a nail...but is it effective? Or does it take the easy way out? Join us in a trenchant discussion of The Outcast!

Welcome to part 2 of our SJW trilogy! I say that tongue firmly in cheek: last episode, we reviewed The Host and and the potentially homophobic overtones in the controversial final scene. THIS WEEK, I uncover a LOST EPISODE of The Red Shirts, which we recorded in March 2019, coincidentally with guest host Davette See, formerly of Black Girl Nerd. Well, Davette makes another appearance in this archival episode where we review the TNG episode Lessons. I make a case that this is NOT Capt. Picard's finest moment in dealing with the romance he shares with Lt. Nella Daren. And I let my frustrated inner attorney free! This is a CAN'T MISS!
Check out Lessons on Netflix, CBS All Access or Blu-ray, then put on your cognitive thinking cap and join us in this fascinating breakdown of one of Qstorm's favorite TNG episodes!

It's a Red Shirts social justice warrior two-for-one and we welcome former Black Girl Nerd writer and current contributor to Fandango and Star Trek.com sa well as CEO of Running Ladies Studios!
In part 1, we review the TNG episode The Host, the one where Trek DOESN'T boldly go where no one has gone before, at least in 1991! We discuss the nature of attraction, how Dr. Beverly Crusher handles her conundrum, we also unpack whether or not a violation of Riker takes place in this episode! And we debate the CONTROVERSIAL FINAL SCENE. Yes, we go THERE! Qstorm and Big Sexy spar over Gates McFadden's acting prowess!
Check out The Host on Netflix, CBS All Access or Blu-ray, then put on your cognitive thinking cap and join us in this fascinating breakdown of one of Qstorm's favorite TNG episodes! Then beam aboard next week for part 2 of our social justice crusade with another triggering topic!

WE ARE BACK! Our six month hiatus is finally over and we're back on the bridge of the U.S.S. Internet NCC-1958! We had to pull the starship out of mothballs to take on our latest mission: reviewing the new CBS All Access Trek series, Star Trek Picard! Qstorm, Craig J., Big Sexy, the whole crew is back with our thoughts on this latest Star Trek series!

We've been 'round the moons of Nibia and 'round the Antares Maelstrom and 'round perdition's flames but WE'RE BACK! We're back just in time to give our perspectives on ALL the new Star Trek stuff that came out of San Diego Comic-Con. Is it overkill? Are they milking the Trek IP? Is CBS All Access interested in putting out quality material to raise Trek's status or are they interested in just making money for their streaming platform at the expense of Star Trek? What the hell is this Lower Decks? We unpack all this from just about every angle, and provide our theories and opinions!

No excuses for the delay this week, seeing as the finale airs tomorrow, but you can still check out my review of Such Sweet Sorrow! I ponder why I continue to hatewatch DSC and whether or not I'll review next season. I also make a connection between the Enterprise bridge and Seinfeld! It's all here!

We go walking "through the valley" of the shadow of death with Michael Burnham and crew yet again! Take a listen to what I have to say in this latest review!

Hey, everyone, I'm giving you back to back episodes just cuz I can! Last Sunday, I called in to the Afronerd Radio program to get into some Star Trek Discovery with hosts DBurt a.k.a. the Afronerd and his companion in white collar crime, Captain Kirk! We basically let it all out, how we feel about this second season of Discovery! NO HOLDS BARRED!
The program is hosted on Blogtalk Radio, which requires callers to literally call in on phones, so apologies for the audio quality.
Tune in to Afronerd Radio Wednesday at 7:00 pm and Saturday at 6:00 pm! Also on iTunes: https://apple.co/2CRtOZV

When it comes to hoping that this series will eventually get on track, resistance is futile. Shout out to Leland, head honcho of Section 31, the most public covert operation ever. Despite being shot up with novocaine, which I hope to acquire as I watch the remaining episodes this season, I provide my review of last Thursday's episode.

We finally meet the Red Angel. But be warned, this episode is not exactly kid-friendly...unless you're into Starfleet snuff films. For better of for worse, here's my report on the tenth episode of season two.

In this episode review, I go on a half-hour rant because this is the episode that just broke the camel's back for me. Everything that's wrong with Star Trek Discovery, at least this season, is on display in this episode: plotholes, bad characterization (spoiler: this ain't your grandfather's Spock, hell, it ain't MY Spock), tragedies that don't resonate at all...but I won't say anymore. Check out the review. WARNING: I don't hold back so make sure to check your emotions at the door. If only someone had given Spock that advice.

Finally, an episode title that doesn't require Cliff Notes! If Memory Serves is the eighth episode of season 2 and although I'm late, I've logged in a review right here!

My review of the seventh episode of season two of Star Trek Discovery! Pointing out the good, the bad and the hair-pulling, bile inducing, eye-rolling frustration of this episode.

Apologies for the confusion, but we had some technical difficulties that required a second upload of this episode. But here it is, our review of the sixth episode of season two, The Sounds Of Thunder, otherwise known as Star Trek Insurrection, the reboot!

This broadcast is doing double duty as both a new Red Shirts episode and a weekly review of the latest episode of Star Trek Discovery! Why? Cuz our mild-mannered Craig J., who is usually very diplomatic about Discovery, went straight gangsta over this episode! He wasn't too happy, so despite the fact that I typically review these episodes solo and on camera (we didn't have time to set up a video podcast), we had to convene a special session of the Federation council and hash it all out! We also express a bit of fear about the upcoming Picard series. For better or worse, here's our review!
Here is the Red Shirts equivalent of "the lost episode," namely, the episode I forgot to publish way back in July 2018! Big Sexy and I continue our discussion of the game-changing Trek episode. We opine on whether DS9 was more deserving of the big screen treatment than TNG, and the addition of Ezri Dax later in the series, among other topics, and Captain Qstorm ponders the Shakesperean theatrical acting style of the one and only Avery Brooks! Enjoy this lost episode from the archives that is finally seeing the light of day!

This is a rebroadcast from July 2018 where Big Sexy and I discuss the Star Trek series Deep Space Nine. Why post a previously aired show? Well, I did it once before simply because of scheduling conflicts leading to an inability to record a new show in a timely manner. But not this time! What happened was (or: whuh hah happen wuz) that after posting this first part of a two-part episode, we got into the advent of Star Trek Discovery which became our focus...so much so that I forgot to post the second part! So here, once again, is part 1 of I Survived The Dominion War! Followed by part 2!
The RED SHIRTS review of the fourth episode of Star Trek Discovery, season two, An Obol For Charon. It ain't pretty, folks. No holds barred. But if the writers don't care, why should I?

The U.S.S Internet NCC-1958 made a wrong turn and ended up in the Badlands (you're relieved of duty, Big Sexy! Craig, take the helm!) Actually, I dropped those two off at an uncharted planet, but made it back to the Alpha quadrant SOLO with the help of the AFRONERD RADIO SHOW on Blogtalk Radio with DBurt the Afronerd, Captain (Jay) Kirk, aka Cap, and the uncanny Daryll B. who has appeared on our show! Well, actually, Craig and Big Sexy got dropped off I called in to their Midweek In Review show which airs every Wed. from 7:00 to 9:00, to chime in one of their topics: the cancellation of Star Trek 4! Which led to speculation that the new Picard series might be set in the Kelvin universe (although producers say otherwise), and the piece de resistance: we battle over STAR WARS vs. STAR TREK! Prepare yourself for a discussion that blows the geek meters OFF the scale!

While you check out those archives shows, I guess I'll head back to the Delta quadrant and pick up my crew...just want to make sure the planet hasn't made biomimetic copies of them.
It's Rainn-ing Mudd, Hallelujah! We have our final Star Trek Short Trek and Captain Qstorm is smiling! We discuss THE ESCAPE ARTIST and rank all four Short Treks from best to worst! The mission takes a bizarre turn as we sully our reputations as Trek fans to determine whether or not Harry Mudd appeared in the TOS episode Trouble With Tribbles! Somehow, 80s comedian Sinbad becomes a topic of discussion, and we wind down the away mission with Q providing a healthy dose of Orville haterade! It's a full show, folks!
